X-Ray Services for Your Pet
Veterinary Radiology in Branford
Radiographs – more commonly known as X-rays – are one of the best diagnostic tools available. X-rays allow us to examine both bones and internal organs for changes.
With our digital X-ray technology, we can take radiographs of your pet quickly and efficiently, reducing your pet’s exposure to radiation. These images can be computer enhanced and adjusted, essentially avoiding the need to repeat the X-ray. Images are instantly available, which allows us to review your pet’s images with you in the exam room during your visit. We can also have your pet’s elbow and hip X-rays evaluated for you by the Orthopedic Foundation of America.
X-rays are useful in diagnosing:
- Fractures and broken bones
- Arthritis
- Pneumonia
In most situations, your pet will not need sedation or anesthesia to undergo an X-ray unless they are in severe pain and it would increase their comfort.
Our veterinarians are highly trained and know how to properly interpret X-ray results. You can count on us to complete the procedure quickly while keeping your pet relaxed and at ease.
